Day 107 - All in the Grain

I don't own a macro lens but I was getting around the backyard, getting close and personal to all sorts of objects.  This shot is nothing special, its a close-up (as much as I can with the 17-40mm lens) of a piece of timber sitting out in the elements.  I wonder what life it had before it was cut down and now lays to rest as a piece of garden edging.
