Day 224 - Gulf of Michael

Michael brought his new toy over to show us today.  Michael's a special boy, as you can tell from the photo.  The Gulf looks like a ton of fun.  Thanks for providing me with todays inspiration Mike... and using up the last shot on the roll of film so I could get it developed.

  1. I like photos which show a sense of humor from the photographer and in this case, the pesky expression on Michael's face and his placement behind the hedge lifts this shot from just another motor bike pic to one that appeals on many levels. The use of large blocks of colour eg the hedge, the tree and the orange and blue on the bike brings the image together well and Michael has the perfect window into the composition to add his mischievous expression. I like the tight composition on the bottom and back of the bike but I would have liked a little separation between the mirror and the top of the frame. Overall great composition using colour, humor and the ever important aspects of lighting resulting in a smilingly serious shot.
